MURWILLUMBAH
Triune MMA is Murwillumbah's very own Mixed Martial Arts club in the heart of the Tweed Valley. The club is open for all ages and abilities, from first timers to seasoned pros. It isn't just about doing classes, but also creating a community of good people who can enjoy Mixed Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Kick Boxing and Fight Fitness in a fun, friendly environment. Triune is run by pro MMA fighter, BJJ black belt and Amateur Boxer Brett Jacobsen aka "The Blessed Brawler", so you will be coached by someone who puts his skills, fitness and heart to the test in the cage and boxing ring.

Bretto 'The Blessed Brawler' Jacobsen
At the ripe old age of 38, I (Bretto) got into MMA to get fit and lose a couple of kilos after having a few lazy years... and one too many buffet meals. It didn't take long for me to realise that I was made for this sport. As with many things in life, I 'got amongst it' and started preparing to compete. My first MMA fight (cage fight) was a few months before my 40th birthday and I haven't looked back.
I'm a quick learner and I love to teach and help people reach their potential in life so coaching was a natural progression for me.
I am a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) black belt under Pasha Stolyar who is a black belt and has his own club - Southside Training Centre at Logan Qld.
As a Pro MMA fighter I've had one first round submission (1:07), one 'submission of the night' award and one 'knock out of the night' award, a second round submission and a win by decision. I have consistently fought the best in my divisions (FW & LW) including numerous Aus champions and number one contenders. In amateur boxing (my more recent hobby) I beat a two time Australian Masters champion to win an Interstate (Qld/NSW) LHW Masters title.

I have a Certificate 3 in sports coaching based in Martial Arts, which is the Government requirement to coach Martial Arts in Australia. This means that you are in safe hands.
